*/}\n\n In anticipation of the 2020 election cycle, Global Inheritance, the Student California Teachers Association are partnering with Stacey Abrams in support of a free online screening of ALL IN: THE FIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY. This upcoming documentary examines the history of voting rights and the often overlooked yet insidious issue of voter suppression in modern America. It offers an insider’s look into the current structure of US election law and the expanding barriers to voting that unjustly impact an increasingly large proportion of US citizens in communities across the country. Throughout the film, Stacey Abrams shares personal stories, unique perspectives, and expertise. \n
\n\n We are encouraging everyone to use the film as an inspiration to capture their own thoughts and beliefs about voting and democracy in the format of visual poster concepts. The experience of translating your opinions into a language that communicates without speaking is a deeply creative process - offering new insights about advocacy, language, persuasion, and artistic collaboration. This activity can be integrated into class assignments covering the history of democracy and voting rights in the United States.\n
\n\n Prizes will be awarded for the most creative poster concepts. A select group of the submitted concepts will be transformed by professional artists into official POSTed Editions - powerful artwork amplifying the voice of America’s youth and their educators. \n \nShai Kim, based in Los Angeles, CA, is influenced by pop culture and animation, especially anime and manga. Growing up, he was an avid reader of sci-fi and fantasy, watched a ton of movies, and played way too many video games - all of which had a significant impact on his creative interests and fueled his desire to contribute to the visual landscape.
\n \nAlex Cerutti is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from Los Angeles, CA. He's behind Change The Game, his art/design practice focused on creating a colorful world of abstract, shapes, graphics, and patterns. His creative ethos centers around challenging yourself, pushing beyond your first thoughts, taking command of your own destiny, and doing so in a self-expressive way.
\n \nJackie Hernandez, also known as Las Chicas Peligrosas, is a multi-medium artist born and raised in Los Angeles, CA - specifically from Pico-Union.
\nThey graduated from California State University, Long Beach with their B.A. in Studio Art and work with various mediums of art such as printmaking, illustration and murals.
\n \nAshley Drevfus is an illustrator and mural artist based in Los Angeles\nCA. Her art and characters exist in an alternate reality, where humans are transformed into their alter ego's, trees have grown legs, and cats drink coffee.
\nA few of Ashley's influences include Keith Haring, vintage clothing/cartoons and her love of coffee.
\n \nOur digital world is experienced through overflowing inboxes, and endless scrolling feeds - an often anonymous stream of content that is glanced at, and mostly forgotten. This program renews the culturally diminished art of crafting handwritten, personal messages on the back of visually compelling postcards, and sharing them with others through the mail.
\nThe inspiring postcard designs available at the POSTed Office have been commissioned specifically for the event where they are featured. The artwork carries the themes, stories, and experiences of the artists and writers to points all across the country - deepening our personal connections and our ties to the community.

\n Get in Touch\nThis contest is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including District of Columbia) who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry, unless otherwise noted in the footer of each individual promotion. The immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of Global Inheritance are not eligible. Subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
